2024 MG 6

The first MG sedan, the MG 6, would be introduced in Pakistan by Morris Garages (MG) Motors, a Chinese-owned British automaker. The vehicle is accessible on the global market. The proprietor of MG Pakistan, Javed Afridi, teased the introduction of the MG 6.

Under the Automotive Development Policy 2016-20, MG Motors Pakistan was been granted greenfield status. The carmaker is now marketing imported CBU variants of the MG HS and MG ZS SUVs. MG Pakistan will shortly begin local production of its vehicles. However, if and when the MG 6 joins the MG vehicle portfolio, it will be available in CBU form, much like its brothers.

MG 6 Engine & Transmission

The MG 6’s 1.5L turbo petrol engine produces 160 horsepower at 5600 RPM and 250 Nm at 4400 RPM. The vehicle is equipped with a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission.
The springs and dampers in the MG 6 have been revised to make the ride more balanced. The electronic steering provides a seamless reaction, quickly moving the vehicle over sharp turns and curves. Furthermore, the MG 6 has excellent handling and allows passengers to ride without being troubled by road bumps. When cornering, the car has very minimal body roll and has a lot of grip on the road.

The automobile will be imported as a complete unit (CBU), but autoparts will still be accessible on the market, making maintenance easy for customers.

MG 6 Interior

The fabric-wrapped interior of the MG 6 immediately exudes luxury. The energy-absorbing column is included with the leather-wrapped electric power steering. The steering wheel, which is adorned with Audi control switches, can also be tilted. The driver’s seat can be changed in six different ways, while the front passenger seat may be modified in four different directions. Like any other car, there are two cup holders and a simple sun visor.

The MG 6 has keyless entry and a push button start technology that makes driving more convenient. The 4-seater car includes an inbuilt 8-inch touch screen that gives you access to all of your multimedia choices. It offers Bluetooth connectivity as well as Apple CarPlay integration. Two USB ports and six speakers round out the entertaining multimedia experience.

ABS, EBD, and cornering brake control are among the safety and driver assistance features available on the MG 6. The electronic stability program and the brake assist system work together to make driving safer and more enjoyable. Other features in the MG 6 include tyre pressure monitoring, fuel pump inertial remember switch, car immobilizer, remote central door locking, speed sensitive door locking, auto door unlock on impact, and central door locking.

MG 6 Exterior

The outward design of the MG 6 is aggressive and dynamic, setting it different from any other automobile on the Pakistani market. The distinctive star rider grille, which contains the huge MG emblem, adorns the front. The strong strokes complement the LED headlights and clever LED daytime running lights (DRLs).

The rearview and side mirrors are also electrically adjustable, and there’s a rear parking camera and a high-mounted stop lamp in the back. The front screen is kept clean and shiny by intermittent wipers. The MG 6 is also available with 16-inch alloy wheels.

MG 6 Competitors

The MG 6 competes with Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic in the Pakistani market.
