Hashmi stressed that the Inspector General of Police, the Additional Inspector General of Traffic Police, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s orders will be closely adhered to.
He further mentioned that during winter, several routes, such as View Fourth Road, Bank Road, Hall Road, Kuldana Road, and Imtiaz Shaheed Road, would only allow one-way traffic.
In order to ease traffic, some locations have been designated as parking-free zones. These include the area around Habib Bank, General Post Office (GPO) Chowk, Cecil Hotel, and Kuldana Road, as well as Bank Road to Girls Degree College.
Heavy vehicles like food supply trucks and water tankers will only be permitted entry during specified hours, which are from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m., in order to reduce disturbance. With these steps, visitors should have a safer and more effective experience throughout the busiest winter months.
