Suzuki Introduces The Limited GSX-S1000 Race Edition In France

The Limited-Edition Naked Bike Honors The Suzuki Endurance Racing Team’s Efforts In The EWC 2023

Suzuki had indicated its intention to retire from racing entirely. This was mostly true, since the brand withdrew from the MotoGP, the most renowned racing series on two wheels.

However, the Japanese manufacturer elected to continue racing in the EWC with the extremely successful Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, which is now ranked fourth in the 2023 standings.

Suzuki will introduce a special edition Hayabusa modelled after the renowned Bol d’Or endurance event in France in the autumn of 2022.

This time, with summer in full swing, Suzuki has unveiled yet another limited-edition sports bike. The Japanese firm has introduced a Race Edition of the famous naked bike, the GSX-S1000, this time. Here, we discover a one-of-a-kind color scheme inspired by the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, as well as a few thoughtful improvements to offer the bike a sportier feel and increased performance.

Suzuki has effectively taken a normal GSX-S1000 and dressed it out in goodies that make it a track-ready motorcycle with the Suzuki GSX-S1000 Race Edition.

To begin, it receives a tail tidy for a more sporty appearance, as well as a full suite of GB Racing engine and crankcase covers. Of course, nothing says track-ready like a seat cowl and red-painted Brembo callipers. The Race Edition also has an Akrapovic slip-on system to give the bike a bit extra snarl.

In addition, the limited edition naked sport bike comes with a numbered SERT FW plate and a Welcome Pack that includes a cap and a T-shirt.

Nothing truly changes in terms of performance, since the Race Edition is mainly a cosmetic upgrade kit, save for the Akrapovic slip-on, which may add two or three ponies.

Nonetheless, it’s propelled by Suzuki’s tried-and-true 999cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, inline-four cylinder engine, which produces 152 horsepower.

In terms of cost and availability, the Suzuki GSX-S1000 Race Edition is only available in France. The bike costs 16,999 Euros ($18,468 USD) with a selection of bolt-on equipment and a stylish livery, which is 3,500 Euros more than the normal model. The GSX-S1000 retails for $11,299 USD in the United States.
