The CR-V is currently in its fifth generation. The 2016 launch of the fifth generation had a significant impact on sales numbers. The fifth generation of the CR-V is still the most widely purchased iteration on the CR-V platform, particularly in the US.

The Honda CR-V is a mid-size SUV that was based on the Honda Civic and initially appeared in 1995. It was a brand-new vehicle that stood in between the Honda Pilot and the HR-V. Honda claims that the meaning of the moniker CR-V is “Comfortable Runabout Vehicle”. In an effort to stay competitive and respond to the fast changing crossover market, Honda developed the vehicle.

2018 saw Honda’s CBU launch of the CR-V in Pakistan. The current generation being offered in Pakistan is identical to that seen in other markets.

Engine:

The Honda CR-V is now available in the international market with a variety of engines, including gasoline, diesel, and hybrid. Only a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and CVT transmission are offered with the vehicle in Pakistan.

Exterior:

The exterior of the Honda CR-V is adorned with several Honda design characteristics. The CR-V is a classic Honda, right down to the distinctive chrome grille up front that is framed by LED daytime running lights and the sharply curved rear quarter window.

The trunk features a noticeable horizontal character line between the taillights on the back, much like the Honda Civic of the time. Similar to Honda FIT, the Civic’s younger sister, the rear taillights are placed almost vertically. Another element to increase the car’s sportiness is dual exhaust tips.

Interior:

The interior of the CR-V is lined with leather, giving the car a luxurious appearance. Another indication that the Honda Civic served as the design inspiration is the digital gauge cluster. The front seats of the automobile include two-tone leather and are heated and operated. Other inside highlights include the black leather console with Honda’s most recent infotainment system and a dual zone temperature control.

Competition:

The Honda CR-V is not directly rivalled in Pakistan. The Toyota Fortuner, Kia Sorento, and Haval H6 are its main pricing rivals.
