At the Tokyo Auto Salon this year, the Japanese tuner intends to unveil a widebody modification for the Lamborghini Countach.
A heavily customized widebody Ferrari F40 constructed by Japanese tuner Liberty Walk last year sparked debate on the internet over whether it was OK to disassemble such a prized piece of equipment. Presently, the business is repurposing the iconic Lamborghini Countach from the ’80s for the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon.
As of right moment, the widebody Countach’s exterior is only partially revealed in a teaser film. Liberty Walk offers the vehicle a striking white exterior, similar to the F40 from the previous year, emphasizing how the new components drastically change the Lamborghini’s look.
The revised front end gives the nose a boxier appearance by adding a large front splitter and a lower fascia with rectangular mesh covering three apertures. The wider fender flare is integrated with the canards on each corner. As a result, there is a continuous line from the nose to the wheel well, giving this portion a curved appearance.
The sides have wider lower sills that are positioned in between the wider fenders. Additionally, Liberty Walk creates a gap in front of the back wheels.
This model appears to be a modified 25th Anniversary Countach based on the body-color vertical strakes in the vents on the top part of the tail. The vintage supercar is equipped with Toyo tires and dark-hued, deep-dish Rohana Forged wheels with Y-shaped spokes.
The factory wing of the Countach was too small for Liberty Walk. It has been replaced by an even bigger device that connects under the back bumper, according to the tuner.
Moreover, the taillights are flush-mounted, as opposed to the production version’s inset bulbs. Underneath the quad exhaust, a sizable diffuser enhances the motorsport-inspired design.
Readers of Motor1 were already divided last year on Liberty Walk’s F40. We anticipate the company’s take on the Countach to be as divisive based only on this teaser trailer.
