Changan Pakistan has hiked the price of their cars by Rs120,000.

Changan Pakistan has hiked rates throughout its whole portfolio by Rs120,000, just a month after lowering prices. The company cited rising freight and delivery costs as the reason for the rise.

After announcing the Alsvin sedan’s debut price in January, the Chinese automaker raised the price of its two automatic models by up to Rs101,000 barely two months later in March.

Changan was one of the last automakers to lower automobile prices in July, following the government’s announcement of different incentives. The new policies were designed to relieve the load on the general public, stimulate vehicle sales, and encourage local businesses. Reduced sales tax and extra customs charge were among the numerous incentives given.

The firm told its authorised dealerships on Tuesday that all of its vehicles will be sold at reduced rates, according to a circular published on Tuesday. The Covid-19 has resulted in increased freight charges and total shipment costs, according to the report.

CHANGAN CARS PRICE IN PAKISTAN

The circular continued, “The firm has no alternative but to pass on part of the increased costs to the product price,” and asked dealers to explain the situation to customers.

According to the notice, all Alsvin versions have witnessed a price increase of Rs120,000. Alsvin 1.3 M/T is now available at a lower price of Rs2,269,000, down from Rs2,149,000. Similarly, the price of the Alsvin 1.3 DCT has increased to Rs2,519,000 from Rs2,399,000 previously. Alsvin Lumiere 1.5 DCT is now priced at Rs2,709,000, up from Rs2,589,000 before. Karvaan and Karvaan plus would now cost Rs1,519,000 and Rs1,659,000, respectively, after a Rs120,000 price increase.
Similarly, the Changan M9’s price has increased from Rs1.234,000 to Rs1,354,000.

Ateeq Ur Rehman, an economic and financial analyst, has claimed that freight rates by road, air, and sea are becoming more expensive with each passing day, emphasizing that competition is raising the cost of doing business for both importers and exporters.

THE VW Beetle Turns Chinese | ORA Punk Cat Car Electric

Volkswagen’s Beetle Has been reborn as a four-door Electric car in China under the name : PUNK CAT

The Ora Punk Cat is an electric vehicle designed to look like a vintage Volkswagen Beetle. Unless VW intervenes, the car will be available to Chinese consumers before the end of the year.

It looks that if Volkswagen does not want to manufacture an electric Beetle, someone else will. Great Wall Motors presented the Ora Punk Cat, a four-door electric car that bears a remarkable similarity to the VW Beetle, with its round headlights and distinctive hood that takes up about a third of the vehicle, at this week’s Shanghai Auto Show.

In 2019, Volkswagen ended production of the Beetle. The German carmaker aims to release an electric van based on the original VW Bus in 2024, but there are no plans to bring the famous bug back. Perhaps the Ora Punk Cat will persuade it to rethink, particularly if it succeeds in China.

BUDGET ELECTRIC CAR

Ora is a Great Wall electric sub-brand that specialises in tiny battery-powered cars. The Ora iQ, the company’s first vehicle, was released in 2018 as a compact crossover with a 46.57 kWh battery and a range of 250 miles on a single charge.

Great Wall hasn’t revealed any details on the Punk Cat, but it will be available before the end of the year, according to the company. Volkswagen, predictably, has sent a statement to Carscoops stating that it is aware of the Punk Cat and is considering legal action.

“We are investigating this situation for any potential infringement of Volkswagen AG utility model or design rights, and we retain the right to take any required legal action,” a spokesman stated.

Pak Suzuki is retiring Bolan and Ravi after 40 years

Suzuki plans to phase out the Bolan minivan and Ravi truck after nearly 40 years and replace them with the 660cc Suzuki Every by 2023.

The news was going in the market that Pak Suzuki will discontinue its famous Bolan & Ravi but it has been confirmed by a reliable sources in the market In 1982/83, Suzuki introduced the Bolan as a Hi-Roof model. “When local assembly at Karachi’s Bin Qasim plant began in 1991, it was called Bolan and its pickup variant Ravi.” it is widely popular among people of Pakistan it fulfills every one needs.

Pak Suzuki, on the other hand, is claimed to be planning to phase out the 800cc Bolan Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) by next year, which would be the model’s 40th year in Pakistan.

SUZUKI CARS PRICE IN PAKISTAN
