Chinese smartphone maker Realme unveiled a device on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, that it says charges to 100% in 9 minutes, 30 seconds.

During the largest trade event in the world, the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Realme introduced its GT3 smartphone.

For the moment, Realme has not revealed any details regarding all the technical specifications of the new smartphone, except for the presence of 240 W rapid charging.

More details regarding the technical specifications of the device should emerge already in the course of the next few days.

The new Realme GT3 could be a rebranding of the GT Neo5 presented in China. The smartphone in question presents the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, an AMOLED display of 6.7 inches diagonally and the same rear design that appears in the official teaser released in Queste ore by Realme.

The company, like other Chinese businesses pursuing international markets, aims to expand its operations outside of China.

At a starting price of KSh 83,251, the GT3 is quite competitive with other smartphone manufacturers like Xiaomi and Oppo, which sell inexpensive devices with good specifications.

Sky Li, the CEO of Realme, stated that the company plans to sell 85 million phones worldwide by 2022. Realme has not yet provided updated sales figures, however data from market research firm Strategy Analytics suggests that 52 million handsets will have been supplied by Realme by 2022.

According to experts, the company’s shipments to Europe fell 44% year over year in the fourth quarter of 2022. Market share for the firm decreased from 6% in the same time in 2021 to 4% in the current year.
