Creators of Youtube Shorts Will Start Receiving Ad Money From YouTube

January 10, 2023 / By Zunair Tahir / Tech News

The eagerly anticipated initiative on YouTube that will let Shorts artists to make money from ads is almost set to launch on February 1.

Creators have until July 10 to follow and accept the terms of the Partner Program agreement that the firm issued.

The “Monetization Modules” that YouTube has released will give creators more control over their YouTube income. For creators to reach their full earning potential, the site advises embracing all modules.

Creators will receive 45% of income after the video-streaming platform takes a 55% cut.

Creators with at least 1,000 followers and more than 10 million views on Shorts over a 90-day period will be able to apply for the Partner Program, the video streaming platform earlier stated in a statement.

The $100 million creator fund will be eliminated with Shorts revenue sharing, although YouTube anticipates receiving more fund revenues than it did with its fund.

While watching Shorts on the Feed, users will see advertisements between each one. At the conclusion of each month, the money made from the advertising will be utilized to compensate music licensing firms and creators through a common pool.

The quantity of musical tracks that creators include in their Shorts will decide how much money is in the creator pool. If there is no music in a clip, the creator pool will receive all of the earnings.

Based on a creator’s percentage of all Shorts views, the streaming platform will decide how the creator pool will be divided.

Creators will receive 45% of the money after YouTube takes its part of 55%.

On Sunday, Twitter said that it will delete accounts created specifically to promote other social media sites and material that incorporates links or usernames.

Twitter stated in a tweet that the change will affect material from Meta Platforms like Facebook and Instagram as well as Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Nostr, and Post while permitting cross-content publishing.

Jack Dorsey, a former CEO of Twitter who recently made a capital investment in the social media site Nostr, simply asked “Why” in response to the Twitter support post.

Dorsey said that the Nostr promotion prohibition “doesn’t make sense” in response to another user’s post about it.

The list did not include China’s ByteDance Ltd.’s short-form video platform TikTok.

Twitter’s Trust and Safety Council, a volunteer body established in 2016 to provide the social media platform with recommendations on site decisions, was abolished last week.

The tumultuous acts at Twitter since Elon Musk, who is also the CEO of Tesla, purchased the social network have led to the change in policy.

While debating how much to charge for Twitter Blue, the company’s subscription service, he sacked the company’s senior executives and let almost half of its employees go.

Apple Is Interested In Purchasing Manchester United

Apple Is Interested In Purchasing Manchester United

November 26, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Tech News

Apple has never owned a football club the scale of United, but CEO Tim Cook is eager to investigate the prospects that United ownership would offer.

Tech behemoths Apple have expressed interest in purchasing Premier League club Manchester United, and if the club accepts the offer, they would reportedly become the wealthiest team in all of football.

Saw the unexpected announcement that superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to break ways with the club’s owners, the Glazers, and they made their intention to sell the enormous club public.

In a recent interview, Ronaldo made some significant claims regarding the club’s owners, coach, and facilities, which caused a tremendous uproar among United supporters and the wider football community.

The rumored offer is for $7 billion. Given the rumored offer’s projected net worth of 2.4 trillion dollars, United would go far ahead of rivals Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and Newcastle United if they accept.

According to The Manchester Evening News, Ortega has already talked with Old Trafford executives to express his interest in purchasing Manchester United.

17 years after the American family purchased the Red Devils, it has previously been confirmed that the Glazers have made the decision to put the club up for sale. The Glazers acquired United in 2005, but they later gained a terrible reputation. The failure of the proposed European Super League and the accompanying criticism that followed served as the tipping point.

In a statement, Manchester United said that its owners were looking into “strategic alternatives” and that it is assumed they will sell to the highest bidder. According to Daily Star Sport’s exclusive report, the Glazers’ initial asking price of £8.25 billion was unreasonably high given the state of the market.

Apple executives have showed interest in talking about the possibility of buying United. Apple has never owned a football team the magnitude of United, but CEO Tim Cook is eager to investigate the possibilities that might arise from doing so. He will schedule meetings with The Raine Group and the other banks designated to supervise the sale.

According To Elon Musk Twitter Will Change How It Verify Their Users

According To Elon Musk Twitter Will Change How It Verify Their Users

October 31, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Tech News

Just days after taking control of one of the most significant social media platforms in the world, Elon Musk said in a tweet on Sunday that Twitter will change its user verification procedure.

Musk stated in a tweet that “the whole authentication procedure is now being redesigned” without providing any other information.

According to two persons with knowledge of the situation, technology publication Platformer revealed on Sunday that Twitter is thinking about charging for the coveted blue check mark confirming the identity of the account user.

If the initiative is approved, users would have to pay $4.99 per month for Twitter Blue in order to keep their “verified” badges.

Although the project may still be shelved since the CEO of Tesla Inc. has not made a final decision, Platformer predicts that verification will most likely be included in Twitter Blue.

Separately, according to internal letters they obtained, The Verge claimed on Sunday that Twitter will raise the monthly membership fee for Twitter Blue, which also validates users, from $4.99 to $19.99.

As the platform’s first subscription service, Twitter Blue was introduced in June of last year. For a monthly membership fee, it provides “exclusive access to premium features,” including the ability to edit tweets.

After Musk asked his tens of millions of Twitter followers whether they wanted an edit button in April, the option to edit tweets was also made accessible earlier this month. The yes response rate was above 70%.

According to a separate Sunday Verge post citing staff members with knowledge of the situation, Musk has also asked that logged-out users accessing Twitter’s website be diverted to the Explore tab, which displays trending tweets.

According to the outage monitor Downdetector, WhatsApp’s messaging service was unavailable to customers on Tuesday.

According to the website’s report, the app went offline just before noon, and #WhatsApp trended on Pakistani Twitter with 13,000 individuals discussing the outage.

Users complained that despite the app’s display of “connected,” they were unable to send messages.

As a result of a recent outage, users of the Meta-owned programmer were unable to access the instant messaging service WhatsApp in Pakistan and other nations on Tuesday.

Although the Facebook-owned business has not released a statement, people rushed to social media when they were unable to connect on WhatsApp.

India too reported experiencing an outage.

A Meta representative stated, “We’re aware that some users are now experiencing problems sending messages, and we’re trying to restore WhatsApp for everyone as soon as possible.”

Major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp had a significant outage in October 2021 that may have affected tens of millions of users.

outage monitor Outages were detected by Down detector in densely populated cities like Paris and Washington.

With thousands of complaints of outages posted online, Down detector, an online portal that gives consumers real-time information about services, confirmed disruptions.

The talking service isn’t functioning for millions of customers, according to the connection tracker.

Many users reported outages on other social media sites while WhatsApp went down, and the issue also generated humorous responses on Twitter and other platforms where WhatsApp is popular.

The tech giant’s expanding bet on the South Asian country despite New Delhi’s push for domestic production is seen in Apple Inc.’s iPhone exports from India

Which have surpassed $1 billion in five months since April, according to a report by Bloomberg News on Tuesday.

According to the article, which cited sources, the export shipments of iPhones manufactured in India, primarily to Europe and the Middle East, are expected to reach $2.5 billion in the 12 months leading up to March 2023, nearly doubling from the year leading up to March 2022.

Earlier this year, Apple began producing the iPhone 13 in India, and the corporation only last week revealed its intentions to produce the most recent iPhone 14.

Since 2017, the tech giant has began producing iPhones in India.

According to Bloomberg, gadgets exported from India between April and August this year include the iPhone 11, 12, and 13 versions.

Musk Prepared To Acquire Twitter For The Original Price

Musk Prepared To Acquire Twitter For The Original Price

October 5, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Tech News

WASHINGTON: Two persons familiar with the situation said on Tuesday that billionaire Elon Musk wants to proceed with his initial $44 billion bid to take Twitter Inc. private, bringing an end to the contentious legal dispute that was ready to go to trial.

The settlement puts the richest person in the world in command of one of the most powerful media outlets and puts an end to months of contentious litigation that hurt Twitter’s reputation and fueled Musk’s reputation for acting erratically.

Musk, the CEO of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Inc., will take over a firm he first committed to purchasing in April but quickly changed his mind about.

Before trading was again suspended, Twitter shares increased 12.7 percent to $47.93, while Tesla shares increased by around 1%.

According to an earlier story from Bloomberg, Musk proposed the idea in a letter to Twitter.

The information comes ahead of a highly anticipated courtroom confrontation between Musk and Twitter on October 17, when the social media firm was expected to ask the judge to require Musk to consummate the acquisition at $54.20 per share.

Musk agreed to purchase Twitter in April for $44 billion, or $54.20 per share, but claimed shortly after that a considerably greater percentage of accounts were bots than Twitter’s estimate of fewer than 5% of users.

Bots are automated accounts, and their usage may cause overestimations of the number of real users, which is crucial for determining advertising prices and the service’s overall worth.
