The new design idea, which was influenced by the move from a front to a mid-engine configuration, was well received by everybody when Chevrolet unveiled the C8 Corvette in 2019.

One of these individuals was probably Audi designer Jason Battersby, who chose to redesign the ‘Vette using a style influenced by the C2 and C3 versions. The long hood features the C2 and C3 design motifs, a hint that is reminiscent of the iconic muscle car period and vehicles like the Ford Mustang and Plymouth Superbird. The hood has a more aerodynamic appearance thanks to chrome outlets that are reminiscent of the second-generation Chevrolet Corvette.

The sleek and sophisticated appearance seems to be a hallmark of Battersby, who was involved in the Audi Grandsphere concept’s design.

While the “very simple” five-spoke wheel design complements the redesigned Vette’s modest character lines on the side profile, the nameplate’s iconic muscular and athletic design elements are still there. The Vette was first released in 1953.

The rear end features a four-piece taillight arrangement with a clean finish, evoking the Ferrari Roma. With a contemporary twist, the C2’s split-window rear is also included.

A noticeable diffuser with two exhaust points below suggests the automobile was originally intended to have an internal combustion engine.

As a last touch, Battersby gave the Corvette emblem a makeover that was uniquely his. “I chose a matte/glossy approach for the images and streamlined the design instead of going with the traditional beveled edges with color inlay. Simple, sleek black logo that continues the Corvette flag tradition—no chrome, no hassle.”

Audi formally announced its intention to team up with Sauber as its power unit manufacturer in 2026, when a new engine formula will go into effect, during the Belgian Grand Prix in August.

As Audi becomes a shareholder in the Swiss team, it is anticipated that its engagement would progressively increase once Alfa Romeo’s sponsorship agreement with the Hinwil team expires at the end of 2023.

Driving for an actual works team once more appeals to current Alfa Romeo driver Bottas, who joined the privateer after five years with Mercedes.

The Audi e-Tron debuted in March 2020. With its massive SUV, Audi has made a forceful entry into the realm of electro-mobility. It has a maximum power of 300kW and a range of 300 kilometer’s on a single charge. The range is mostly determined by the driver’s style and the weather. It also has a permitted maximum speed of 200 kilometer’s per hour.

The Audi e-Tron, according to the manufacturer, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5.7 seconds. A full charge takes roughly 6-7 hours. The High-voltage battery used in the Audi e-Tron comes with an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer guarantee (whichever comes first). The external appearance of the Audi e-Tron is futuristic and aggressive.

The federal government made vehicles with engines up to 850cc cheaper earlier this month by eliminating the Federal Excise Duty (FED) and lowering the Sales Tax to 12.5 percent from 17 percent. Everyone was ecstatic when they heard the news. Despite this, many people preferred to hear the phrase 1000cc instead than 850cc.

So, what’s this? The government has complied with our request. Shaukat Tarin, the Finance Minister, has announced the continuation of tax exemption for automobiles up to 1000cc, making all domestically built 1000cc cars cheaper.

Because the middle class can only afford automobiles up to 1000cc, this tax relief will undoubtedly have a big influence on the local automotive market. The government has lowered automobile costs in a budget for the first time in Pakistan’s history.

The government, on the other hand, has not proposed any tax relief for imported automobiles, indicating that it is focused on the domestic auto sector and encouraging people to buy local vehicles.

When Will Automobiles Become More Affordable to Consumers?

Okay, so the government has enacted the Fiscal Budget 2021-22, which includes lower taxes on automobiles with engines under 1000cc. But the real question is when prices will start to fall. And the response is July 1st, 2021.

The budget has been considered and approved by the government in the National Assembly. It will be deployed in the beginning of next month. From July 1st onwards, the revised pricing will be in effect.

In the meanwhile, customers who get automobiles this month will be charged the existing price. If the invoice for the car has been issued, the buyer must pay the current price. There’s no getting around it.
