Angelina Jolie is the face of Tom Ford Beauty’s Runway Lip Color ad.
Tom Ford Beauty has revealed that Angelina Jolie will be the face of their upcoming Runway Lip Color line, which will include moisturizing lipsticks that go on sale on September 3.
The fashion and cosmetics brand owned by Estée Lauder Companies will be represented by the American actress and filmmaker in a campaign that features 18 colors, including the glossy deep red color “16 Scarlet Rouge,” which Jolie dons in the advertising materials.
Renowned photographers Marcus Piggott and Mert Alas took the promo photos, which show Jolie training for a movie part in a dramatic environment.
The advertisement, according to Tom Ford Beauty, has “a character that loves the camera almost as much as it loves her.”
Jolie’s position as “always iconic” was cited by Tom Ford Beauty in a statement outlining their reasoning for choosing her as their ambassador. “An ardent trailblazer,” according to the company, Jolie propels her personal story with “strength, confidence, and an uncompromising commitment to self-expression.”
The letter went on to emphasize Jolie’s accomplishments, which include a Tony, Golden Globe, and Academy Award, and noted that her humanitarian work on human rights and refugees has given her impact outside of the arts.
Jolie has joined the esteemed group of Tom Ford Beauty ambassadors, which also includes Gong Yoo and Hyun Bin, two stars from South Korea.
Jolie has previously collaborated on high-profile beauty projects with MAC Cosmetics on a cosmetics line inspired by her role in Disney’s Maleficent and Guerlain for its Mon Guerlain scent. This relationship is her second such venture.
Dexter King was recently named Senior Vice President and worldwide General Manager by Tom Ford Beauty, with the aim of growing the brand’s worldwide footprint in skincare, fragrance, and cosmetics.
