The New AK Premium Is Unveiled By Kymco In Europe

With its most luxurious maxi-scooter to yet, the Taiwanese scooter expert seeks to unseat the powerful Yamaha TMAX.

Kymco, a Taiwanese scooter manufacturer, has unveiled a new model to compete in the high-end maxi-scooter market. Kymco established themselves in this market when they unveiled the AK550 in 2017. To compete with the Yamaha TMAX, the company has introduced the AK Premium for 2023, a stylish and potent scooter.

A 550cc twin-cylinder engine with a 270-degree crankshaft that generates 51 horsepower powers the AK Premium. The engine is coupled with a constantly variable transmission for a comfortable and easy ride. Throttle-by-wire technology on the scooter enables smoother acceleration and more precise engine control. Additionally, it has two different power settings that may be chosen from in its programmable riding modes.

The AK Premium boasts a menacing front fascia with aggressive LEDs and more aggressive bodywork. The design makes the Premium seem even more futuristic in style than the already athletic aesthetic of the AK550. The AK Premium has a number of extra amenities that make it a comfortable and secure ride for long-distance trips, including traction control and cruise control.

With a weight of 238 kilogrammes, the new Kymco AK Premium challenges the heavyweights in its division. The Yamaha TMAX weighs 216 kilogrammes as a point of reference. But Kymco has made sure that the weight is evenly distributed and that the scooter is simple to use.

The AK Premium is a tough competitor in the premium maxi-scooter market because of its strong engine, fashionable design, and opulent features.

With a suggested retail price of 10,999 Euros (or $12,206 USD) from Kymco, the AK luxury offers a competitive option in the market for luxury maxi-scooters. In fact, at this price range, the premium maxi-scooter retails for 15,613 Euros in its Tech Max trim, which is a few thousand Euros less than the Yamaha TMAX.

The manufacturer thinks that riders looking for a robust, cozy, and stylish scooter capable of managing both city and long-distance trips would find the AK Premium appealing.
