The Lamborghini Revuelto Debuts At The 2023 Auto Shanghai

The Huracan Tecnica and Urus Performante are in the limelight alongside the electric supercar.

Nowadays, there aren’t many significant auto shows, but China is still a thriving market, thus Auto Shanghai is a fantastic venue for manufacturers to display their newest models. The Revuleto, Lamborghini’s much anticipated Aventador successor, will be on display during the event.

The Urus Performante and Huracan Tecnica join the V12 plug-in hybrid supercar, and a Urus S is displayed in a special Ad Persona chamber for custom builds.

The Revuelto is painted in a brilliant orange colour, just like in the official photos. If you don’t like that, there are no fewer than seven colour groups available in the configurator, which is currently operational.

In Shanghai, the electric Sant’Agata Bolognese vehicle with 1,001 horsepower is making its Asia Pacific premiere. Being at the exhibition with the “High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV)” makes sense given that China is Lamborghini’s second-largest single market.

As Revuelto will be followed by a few other hybrids, it marks the start of a new phase for the raging bull. In 2024, when the Huracan replacement will also be unveiled with an electrified engine, Lamborghini has already announced a Urus PHEV. The fleet will expand to include a fourth car around 2028—a 2+2 grand tourer that is entirely electric.

In the interim, we anticipate that Lamborghini will use the same method for the long-running Aventador by producing a number of versions of the Revuelto. It is reasonable to assume that the roadster will be the next addition to the supercar family, and it probably won’t be long until the Italian exotic label does so.

In a recent interview, CEO Stephan Winkelmann predicted that despite stricter emissions rules, the new supercar will still be around in 2030. It will be made possible by hybridising the V12, and the Huracan replacement’s hybrid drivetrain will make it viable as well. The second version of the Urus hyper SUV will be an EV.

Lamborghini Revuelto Debuts 1001 HP Aerospace-Inspired V12 Hybrid

Lamborghini Revuelto Debuts 1001 HP Aerospace-Inspired V12 Hybrid

Today is unique because Lamborghini doesn’t usually introduce a new showcase vehicle. The Aventador was around for just over a decade, and now its replacement has arrived. The Revuelto, a two-seat hypercar from Lamborghini, is what you should know about the “near future” of high-performance driving. This new vehicle has a tonne of technology, but if you aren’t prepared for a world without a crazy V12 Lambo, we assure you that you have nothing to fear.

It has an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, three electric motors, 13 drive modes, and displays for the “co-pilot” and the driver

There is a lot to talk about, most of which has already been hinted at in Lamborghini’s teases for the frame, interior, and engine. In case you forgot, the new 6.5-liter V12 at the centre of this premier vehicle is complemented by three electric engines to generate a combined 1,001 hp (1,000.7 to be specific).

A new eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox distributes power to all four axles, and this plug-in hybrid has an all-electric option. It makes use of a brand-new monocoque frame th

at Lamborghini claims is the first to have a front construction made entirely of carbon fibre. There are 13 different drive options available to the user in total.

In terms of performance, 62 mph is reached in 2.5 seconds. 124 mph is reached in under 7 seconds. The most recent Lamborghini will go faster than 217 mph when driven straight. Additionally, if the battery is fully charged, you can choose the all-electric mode for about six miles if you just want to cruise around town quietly.

That encapsulates the teases from the previous few weeks. Later, we’ll delve more deeply into these topics, but for now, let’s focus on something you haven’t seen yet: the body.

Interior Design:

As previously stated, the interior features a Y motif, but the three digital displays are what really catch the eye. None of them are particularly big; the driver only receives a small 8.4-inch portrait panel in the centre of a 12.3-inch digital display.

However, the passenger also receives a tiny 9.1-inch device that shows important car data. The information on all three screens can be shared by swiping, and Lamborghini emphasizes the passenger’s function as a co-pilot.

The driver is free to concentrate on driving by managing tasks like controlling the temperature, using the navigation system, or choosing audio. There are also seven drive options with a total of 13 configurations to choose from.

With the Revuelto, Lamborghini also strives to be more environmentally friendly (no, really). The carmaker uses novel, more effective production procedures for its materials. Various leathers are combined with microfiber made of repurposed fabric in upholstery. There are at least 70 different colour choices available for the cabin, just like there are for the exterior.

The Revuelto’s engine needs to be reviewed again because it does something. It may sound familiar to hear about a 6.5-liter Lamborghini V12, but this is a brand-new engine that is both lightweight and more potent than its forerunner.

Without the use of turbochargers, it generates 535 pound-feet of torque and 813 horsepower at 9,250 rpm. Two electric motors each drive the front axles of the hybrid vehicle, and a third motor is attached to the brand-new, eight-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox, another first for Lamborghini. Instead of being mounted in front of the engine, the transerve is now positioned behind it to make space for the tiny 3.8 kWh battery cell in what was once the transmission tube.
