Long Live the V12-Powered Replacement for the Lamborghini Aventador!

When it comes to introducing V12-powered supercars, Lamborghini has been a zealot. It possessed one, as did the Miura, Countach, Diablo, Murcielago, and finally the Aventador from the 1960s’ 350 GT.

The latter was first debuted in 2011, and Lamborghini has since improved it, released a variety of special editions, and created derivatives based on the same platform.

The most recent Aventador, which some aficionados consider to be the greatest model ever, added the Ultimae suffix and several improvements, including a powerful 6.5-liter V12 engine with natural aspiration that produces 780 PS (769 hp/ 574 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. With a single-clutch, seven-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive, it can reach a high speed of 355 kph (221 mph) and accelerate from 0 to 100 kph (62 mph) in under 2.8 seconds.

As we’ve already noted, the Aventador Ultimate is Lamborghini’s final naturally aspirated V12-powered supercar; a new engine will power the company’s next model. The yet-unnamed vehicle has already been seen in many mules and prototypes, and while CEO Stephan Winkelmann affirmed that it would continue to employ a V12, electricity will help it.

The fact is that the greasy bits are a well-kept secret. We may speculatively assume that it will likely have a dual-clutch automatic transmission and two engines driving the front wheels. As a result, nobody outside the firm is currently aware of it.

According to rumors’, the Aventador’s replacement may have a combined output of more than 1,000 horsepower. Some suggest supercapacitors as an alternative to conventional batteries, while others predict a compact battery pack.

2023 Porsche 963 LMDh Racecar

In the biggest endurance races in the world, the Porsche Penske Motorsport team enters the brand-new Porsche 963 in search of overall victories. Two hybrid LMDh-spec prototypes will compete in both the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship starting in 2023.

The racing car, which had its public debut at Goodwood in England, is painted in the traditional Porsche racing colours of white, red, and black. They have been informed by a source that one of the company’s best-selling vehicles would be discontinued in the coming months. According to reports, Cultus will be officially discontinued in the coming months.

Even though McLaren stopped making the P1 in December 2015, here we are, almost seven years later, with word of a new version. It does, however, originate in Lanzante rather than Working. However, Paul Howse and the British engineering company collaborated to create the P1 Spider. If you haven’t heard of him, he was intimately engaged in creating one of the Holy Trinity’s three members.

Since the Spider is primarily a modification based on an existing vehicle, the open-top variant does not constitute a continuation of P1 manufacturing.

The McLaren P1 Spider kept the original car’s formidable hybrid configuration despite being softened on the opening day of the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed. It has 900 Newton-meters (664 pound-feet) of torque and 903 horsepower. The coupe’s highest speed was 217 mph (350 km/h), and it reached 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.8 seconds, 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h) in 6.8 seconds. Performance numbers have not been released.

Before the year is over, Lanzante promises to deliver the first droptop P1.

The Ferrari Purosangue SUV Is Set To Debut In September With A Naturally Aspirated V12 Engine

Let us travel back in time to September 2018, when Ferrari unveiled the Purosangue at its Capital Markets Day. It hasn’t been disclosed in over four years, but the wait is almost over. In September, Maranello will unveil its first-ever SUV, equipped with a powerful V12 engine. The statement was made today during the Capital Markets Day event, which also included a few other goodies.

By limiting shipments to clients to less than 20% of total annual supplies, the Prancing Horse hopes to keep the Purosangue (relatively) exclusive. In other words, starting in 2023, just one out of every five new Ferraris sold will be an SUV. The Italian company continues to avoid using the word “SUV,” instead stating that the vehicle would be “unlike any other.”

Furthermore, it will be a “pure V12 model,” meaning it will be powered by a naturally aspirated engine. With ever harsher emissions rules, it’s comforting to learn that the NA V12 will continue to be produced for a few of years.

While the Purosangue is expected to contribute for around 20% of total sales, the Icona series and the new hypercar will be significantly more exclusive. According to Ferrari, these vehicles will account for less than 5% of overall deliveries, whereas Special Series models such as the 812 Competizione / 812 Competizione A will account for about 10% of total sales.

By 2026, hybrid and all-electric powertrains will account for 60% of all vehicles, with ICE-powered vehicles accounting for the remaining 40%. When it comes to powertrains, Ferrari has been tight-lipped on how much power the V12 will produce in the Purosangue, but we do know that it produces 830 horsepower in the 812 Competizione. Furthermore, a more powerful setup has already been shown.

With the Purosangue, Ferrari will join the ranks of high-end manufacturers like as Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, and Lamborghini in having their own SUVs. By the end of the decade, McLaren is expected to follow suit.

The latest Lego Technic set miniaturizes the Daytona SP3, one of Ferrari’s most recent premieres. Last November, it joined Ferrari’s Icon family of automobiles. The new Lego model will be available on June 1, and the two firms will celebrate with a limited-edition coffee table book recounting their work on the kit. The book will only be printed in 5,000 copies.

The 3,778-piece 1:8-scale Ferrari is 5.5 inches (15 centimeter’s) tall, 23 inches (59 cm) long, and 9.5 inches (25 cm) broad. The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is incredibly detailed inside and out, much like Lego’s other Technic kits – and in places that most people would never see.

A functional 8-speed sequential gearbox and a V12 engine with moving pistons are included in the Lego Ferrari, but that’s not all. The fully functional wishbone suspension, complete with detailed brake discs and working springs, will also be assembled by the builders.

The functional butterfly doors open to reveal an interior that has been painstakingly replicated, even down to the Ferrari insignia on the steering wheel. On the exterior, the automobile has silver-lacquered wheels with Ferrari center caps. “No aspect has been missed,” claimed Lego Group CEO Niels B. Christiansen. “At such a small scale, the attention to detail and perfection of the model astounds me,” he continued.

The kit will be available at Lego Stores worldwide on June 1 before being distributed to other stores on August 1. It’ll set you back $399.99, and Lego recommends it for those aged 18 and over. On June 1, the book “Lego Technic Ferrari Daytona SP3: The Sense of Perfection” will be available for $79.99. The limited-edition book delves into the conceptualization, design, and production of the model.

The Lego Technic kit will be far more accessible than the real Daytona SP3. Only 599 Ferrari supercars will be produced. The Daytona is Ferrari’s most aerodynamically efficient car ever, with a 6.5-liter V12 from the 812 Competition producing 828 horsepower (617 kilowatts) and 514 pound-feet (697 Newton-meters) of torque. The Lego kit is also far less expensive.
