In China, Harley-Davidson Reveals The X500 For The First Time

It is by no means a secret that Harley-Davidson and the Chinese motorbike maker QJ Motor are partners. The parent business of numerous upcoming brands in the motorcycle industry is QJ, usually referred to as Qianjiang. The Qianjiang empire includes companies with names like Benelli, Keeway, and QJ Motor. It also has alliances with well-known producers like MV Agusta and, yes, Harley-Davidson.

The Lamborghini Revuelto Debuts At The 2023 Auto Shanghai

The Huracan Tecnica and Urus Performante are in the limelight alongside the electric supercar.

Nowadays, there aren’t many significant auto shows, but China is still a thriving market, thus Auto Shanghai is a fantastic venue for manufacturers to display their newest models. The Revuleto, Lamborghini’s much anticipated Aventador successor, will be on display during the event.

The Urus Performante and Huracan Tecnica join the V12 plug-in hybrid supercar, and a Urus S is displayed in a special Ad Persona chamber for custom builds.

The Revuelto is painted in a brilliant orange colour, just like in the official photos. If you don’t like that, there are no fewer than seven colour groups available in the configurator, which is currently operational.

In Shanghai, the electric Sant’Agata Bolognese vehicle with 1,001 horsepower is making its Asia Pacific premiere. Being at the exhibition with the “High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV)” makes sense given that China is Lamborghini’s second-largest single market.

As Revuelto will be followed by a few other hybrids, it marks the start of a new phase for the raging bull. In 2024, when the Huracan replacement will also be unveiled with an electrified engine, Lamborghini has already announced a Urus PHEV. The fleet will expand to include a fourth car around 2028—a 2+2 grand tourer that is entirely electric.

In the interim, we anticipate that Lamborghini will use the same method for the long-running Aventador by producing a number of versions of the Revuelto. It is reasonable to assume that the roadster will be the next addition to the supercar family, and it probably won’t be long until the Italian exotic label does so.

In a recent interview, CEO Stephan Winkelmann predicted that despite stricter emissions rules, the new supercar will still be around in 2030. It will be made possible by hybridising the V12, and the Huracan replacement’s hybrid drivetrain will make it viable as well. The second version of the Urus hyper SUV will be an EV.

For Its Next Models, Ferrari Will Use Samsung OLED Technology

The Italian supercar manufacturer desires to outsource the creation of non-essential components.

Samsung is most likely best recognised for its smart devices, which include LCD and LED panels, cell phones and tablets, TVs, digital movie theatre screens, computers, and many more items.

PM Says That All Conditions Have Been Fulfilled, But IMF Wants “More Guarantees”

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has no reason to put off approving the staff-level agreement after receiving financial guarantees from allies, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday. However, a Fund official said the lender was looking forward to receiving “necessary financing assurances” as soon as possible to clear the way for the conclusion of the ninth review of the $7 billion program.

IMF Mission Chief to Pakistan Nathan Porter made the announcement a day after Finance Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed $1 billion in bilateral financial help for Pakistan, which is thought to be the last preparatory action for staff-level agreement with the international lender.

PM Shehbaz remarked, “The IMF had set a condition for us to arrange funds from friendly countries before it signed a staff-level agreement with us,” while speaking at an event in Lahore. We worked hard for one and a half months to achieve the IMF’s final need by first getting a rollover of $2 billion from China and then $3 billion from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

The premier complimented Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Ishaq Dar for their “hard work” in this respect and stated that “the new army chief made efforts to acquire the funds from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.”

He expressed the resolve to overcome these obstacles by reaching an agreement with the international lender as quickly as possible, despite the fact that his administration “inherited an IMF agreement that was in tatters.” There was “no alternative,” he said, therefore the government had to accept the strict requirements established by the IMF.

The Fund, meantime, praised Pakistan’s receipt of bilateral aid but pressed Islamabad for more guarantees to finalise the agreement.

The agreement to retain strong policies and find adequate funding to assist the implementation efforts was reached during talks between the Pakistani delegation and IMF employees and management, the statement added.

At a news conference in Washington, she stated, “My hope is that with the goodwill of everyone and with the implementation of what has already been agreed upon by the Pakistani authorities, we can complete our current program successfully.”

Separately, as part of the IMF/World Bank spring meetings, Mr. Dar conducted a virtual discussion with Jin Liqu, the president of the Asian Infrastructure and Investment Bank (AIIB), through a video link.

According to a formal statement, Mr. Dar informed the AIIB president on the government’s economic objectives and reforms for sustainable development while also sharing the present economic prognosis.

According to the release, the AIIB president praised the bank’s partnership with Pakistan.

Chinese Luxury Minivan Denza D9 Costs $65,000 & 400 HP Power

In the past, the minivan market in the US and Europe had significant popularity. While there are still some respectable MPV options available on both sides of the Atlantic, the selection is often limited.

However, that is not the situation in China, where big, boxy people movers are now gaining popularity and several domestic and international manufacturers are producing new versions. The Denza D9, which is offered with plug-in hybrid and electric powertrains, is one of the newest participants.

Let’s begin with the name of the brand. Denza is a joint company that BYD and the Mercedes-Benz Group hold equally and that creates high-end automobiles for the People’s Republic. The majority of the company’s earlier products had the feel of rebadged BYDs (a popular Chinese brand), but Denza upped the ante with this new offering. China introduced the D9 last year.

Denza provides the opulent minivan with a choice of three different plug-in hybrid powertrains based on the battery and motor to further complicate matters. The model seen in the page’s opening video is the top-of-the-line model, with a maximum output of 502 pound-feet (681 Newton metres) of torque and 401 horsepower (299 kilowatts) at its peak. These are impressive stats for a nondescript minivan. Up to 112 miles (180 kilometres) may be covered on pure electric power, and curiously for a plug-in hybrid, DC charging is possible with up to 80 kilowatts of power, which isn’t very frequently.

The D9’s cabin may be its most remarkable feature. The Chinese minivan has a total of seven screens: three in the front, two in the front seatbacks for the back seats, and two in the second-row armrests. Although we may not have preferred the capacity touch buttons on the centre console, the quality and material choices around the interior are excellent. All of this isn’t cheap, though; the top-of-the-line vehicle in question costs around $65,000 in China, which is about what Jeep is asking for the flagship Grand Cherokee L in the US, for instance.

Both super sedans are now plug-in hybrids, and the larger of the two is already receiving a unique variant called the Edition 1 that will only be available for a short period of time.

It Features Extra Delights Both Inside And Out And Is Only Available For A Brief Period Of Time

The electrified S63, which is advertised as being fully equipped, has a Manufacture alpine grey uni exterior and is fitted with a set of cross-spoke 21-inch AMG forged wheels.

Additionally, it includes the AMG external Night Package, which adds external highlights in high-gloss black or dark chrome. Other amenities include tinted glass, red brake calipers, and a silver-chrome gasoline filler lid with the AMG insignia.

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 Wins Two More Awards In Addition To The 2023 World Car Of The Year Title

The Ioniq 6 won the World Car of the Year Award for 2023, becoming Hyundai the first automaker to do it twice in a succession. It was won in 2022 by the Ioniq 5 together with two other categories. The World Car Design of the Year and World Electric Vehicle Awards went to the Ioniq 6 once more, repeating earlier victories.

One of three candidates for the COTY award, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 edged out the Kia Niro and BMW X1/iX1 for the top spot.

Jaehoon Chang, president and chief executive officer of Hyundai Motor Company, stated, “We are happy to win this distinguished honor two years in a row, which recognizes the amazing skills and unwavering efforts of everyone at Hyundai Motor Company to bring EVs like the Ioniq 6 to market.

The Lucid Air was named the World Luxury Car by the organization, defeating the BMW 7 Series and the Genesis G90 for the title. With more votes than the updated Nissan Z and the all-wheel-drive Toyota GR Corolla with its 300-horsepower 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, the Kia EV6 GT took home the title of World Performance Car.

Hyundai won the EV prize over the BMW i7 and Lucid Air. For the design award, it had to compete against the Land Rover Range Rover and the Lucid Air.

The World Car Awards jury this year consisted of 100 worldwide automotive journalists from 32 different nations. To choose this year’s COTY finalists and winner, which will receive trophies made by automotive designer Ian Callum, the jury had to narrow down a list of 30 new vehicles.

This spring, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 will arrive on sale in the US. The range of the EV varies between 270 and 361 miles depending on the motor and battery arrangement. The Hyundai has a single motor that produces 225 horsepower and a twin motor that produces 320 horsepower.

Honda Wins At Red Dot Design Awards

Honda received two awards at the 2023 Red Dot Design Awards for the Civic Type R and the new Civic e:HEV vehicles. In addition, it honored winning two more Red Dot Design Awards for its motorcycles, the XL 750 Transalp and the CB750 Hornet.

The Red Dot Design Awards are a coveted distinction recognized for exceptional product design that is aesthetically pleasing, useful, intelligent, and inventive. The victors represent the most recent technological, social, economic, and ecological demands of customers and are chosen by a panel of 50 international experts who test and assess each submission.

Honda’s model CB750 Hornet won a prize for product design. The brand-new motorcycle with the catchy moniker is a sporty naked bike with a new 755cc two-cylinder engine that draws design cues from the previous generation.

The redesigned Hornet is an embodiment of technological beauty with more aggressive lines and angles, according to Honda’s Rome-based design team. The fuel tank, which is modelled after the form of a wasp’s wing and the strength and agility associated with motorcycles in the Streetfighter style, serves as the primary stylistic reference for the Hornet.

The Red Dot judges also awarded the XL750 Trasalp high honor’s. The XL750 Transalp gives the cosy do-it-all crossover to a new generation of motorcyclists, marking the name’s return to Honda’s motorcycle lineup after almost ten years.

It is based on the same 755cc twin-cylinder motor as the Hornet and pays homage to an earlier version, the 1986 XL 600V Transalp, while sporting more contemporary looks. The model’s recognizable “long-legged” posture is still present, giving the daring look for which she is known.

Honda has now received 13 Red Dot Design Awards since 2020, including a “Best of the Best” honor for the Japanese manufacturer in 2020, thanks to its accomplishments this year.
