For The 2024 LMDh Automobile, Lamborghini Is Designing A New V8 Turbo Engine

September 21, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Automotive News

On Monday, the company released a new teaser image of the Lamborghini LMDh, which is being developed in collaboration with the French manufacturer Ligier Automotive, along with the first information on the hybrid powertrain’s internal combustion component.

In contrast to the production-based V10 that powers Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s Huracan GT3 and Super Trofeo one-make gear, the LMDh engine is the company’s first from the ground up. Lamborghini Squadra Corse was created in 2013.

The Italian designer has stated that the engine would be a 90-degree V8, but not its exact capacity, which is thought to be about four litres. It will weigh 180 kg, which is the minimum allowed under the rules.

Lamborghini stated the combined power output of the new V8 and the hybrid system built by Bosch, Williams, and Xtrac as 500kW (670bhp), the middle value in the 480 to 520kW range specified in the LMDh and Le Mans Hypercar regulations.

The next prototype from Lamborghini will adhere to the class maximums for width, length, and height, which are 2000mm, 5100mm, and 3148mm, respectively. The listed weight is 1030 kg, which is the bare minimum permitted by LMDh.

Until images of the car are made public in the first quarter of 2023, it is not anticipated that more technical information will be available about Lamborghini’s as-yet-unnamed competitor. The commencement of testing, which is slated to begin in the spring of 2019, will come before that.

Mirko Bortolotti and Andrea Caldarelli, two veteran Lamborghini factory GT drivers, have been named the program’s inaugural drivers and will lead the vehicle’s development.

It is yet unknown whose team(s) will operate the new Lamborghini LMDh in the WEC and IMSA, where it will race in the GTP and Hypercar classes, respectively.

In its most recent statement about the LMDh initiative, which Lamborghini unveiled in mid-May, the automaker emphasized Volkswagen’s efforts to hybridize its line of road vehicles as part of a plan known as Cor Tauri, which is Latin for “heart of the bull.”

It stated that “Lamborghini’s move to hybrid technology is the right fit with making the jump into a motorsport scene driven by hybrid propulsion.”

Pakistan VS England 2022, 1st T20 Starts Today

Pakistan VS England 2022, 1st T20 Starts Today

September 20, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Sport News

For a historic visit, the England cricket team has landed in Pakistan. After 17 long years, the Three Lions are returning to Pakistan for a seven-match T20I series. Babar Azam and company enter this series coming off a heartbreaking loss to Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final.

Before the 2019 T20 World Cup, Pakistan will be aiming to make apologies and resolve all of the problems within their team. In the crucial series, Mohammad Rizwan’s strike rate will be scrutinized. Many commentators have criticized the 30-year-old for his dubious strategy in the Asia Cup final. Babar Azam, the captain, will try to regain his form by scoring some runs.

Full Schedule:

Karachi leg of the series

  • 1st T20I – September 20
  • 2nd T20I – September 22
  • 3rd T20I – September 23
  • 4th T20I – September 25

Lahore leg of the series

  • 5th T20I – September 28
  • 6th T20I – September 30
  • 7th T20I – October 2

Pakistani Squad:

Babar Azam (c), Shadab Khan (vc), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Shan Masood, Aamir Jamal, Abrar Ahmed, Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Wasim Junior, Shahnawaz Dahani, Usman Qadir

England Squad:

Jos Buttler (c & wk), Moeen Ali (vc), Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, Jordan Cox (wk), Harry Brook, Sam Curran, Liam Dawson, Chris Woakes, Ben Duckett, Richard Gleeson, Tom Helm, Will Jacks, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Olly Stone, Reece Topley, David Willey, Mark Wood, Luke Wood

England, captained by Jos Buttler, is aware that Pakistan is the favourite to win in these circumstances. It is important to note that a few of the England team’s players have had some experience playing in Pakistan thanks to the PSL. In recent years, players such as Alex Hales and Dawid Malan have competed in the Pakistan Super League.

For the Karachi leg of the series, Jos Buttler won’t be available, hence Moeen Ali will captain England. Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, Chris Jordan, and Adil Rashid are T20 experts who will be crucial to England’s prospects. Here are all the specifics of the historic T20I series between Pakistan and England before the first T20I in Karachi.

Additionally, England arrives in Pakistan with a debt of gratitude to settle and an air of regret. The ECB was effectively kept afloat during an unprecedented crisis for the sport by Pakistan’s own willingness to visit England in the summer of 2020

When Covid had struck, and tolerating the enormous restrictions of that bio-secure summer. As a result, when last year’s goodwill return visit was cancelled without a good reason, the outrage was understandable and justified.

Mercedes-AMG Teased The 2023 C63 Ahead Of Its Debut On September 21

Mercedes-AMG Teased The 2023 C63 Ahead Of Its Debut On September 21

September 19, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Automotive News

Exactly 63 hours before the premiere, AMG published the teaser image.

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year, AMG presented a near-production prototype of the C63 that was only lightly covered. Now, the sports sedan is going to be unveiled. There isn’t much we don’t know about the BMW M3 competitor, but we’re interested to see how those intriguing technological details will translate into performance in the real world. The subsequent model, in contrast to its rear-wheel-drive predecessor, will only be offered with 4Matic.

The V8 is now officially a thing of the past, to address the big issue in the room. The folks from Affalterbach have repeated multiple times that the 2.0-liter M139 from the “45” models would be used in the new C63, but with higher power and longitudinal mounting. Yes, the vehicle will be a plug-in hybrid. A 6.1 kWh battery will supply power to a rear-mounted electric motor.

2023 Mercedes-AMG C63 at Goodwood FoS 2022

Although purists will undoubtedly be unhappy by the cylinder count reduction, the flagship C-Class should still be brisk thanks to its combined 670 horsepower.

We can only hope that the C63 Estate will be shown as well; this hot wagon will compete against the M3 Touring, a brand-new competitor. Aside: New M vehicles will also be plug-in hybrids starting in 2023.

The Bavarians, on the other hand, promise to continue with the inline-six and V8 until at least 2030 and have no plans to reduce the size of their combustion engines.

Considering its PHEV design, the AMG C63 should have a fully electric range, but given how tiny the battery will be, the combustion engine will engage sooner rather than later. Weight is a worry since, despite the fact that the four-cylinder engine is lighter than the original V8, the hybrid-related components will undoubtedly add weight, and it wouldn’t surprise us if it ended up being significantly heavier than its predecessor.

Wednesday, September 21 is the planned date for the world premiere. Due to the two-door C-Class and E-Class models combining to form the CLE, AMG will not be releasing another C63 Coupe and Cabriolet.

UK Pound Drops To 37-Year Low

UK Pound Drops To 37-Year Low

September 17, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Business News

The British pound hit new lows against the US dollar and the euro on Friday, marking the 30th anniversary of “Black Wednesday,” as weaker-than-expected retail overall sales fueled concerns about the country’s economy.

In terms of the dollar, the pound dropped more than 1% to $1.1351—its lowest level since 1985—and was most recently trading at $1.1404.

A further significant rate rise from the Federal Reserve next week has been priced in by markets as a result of this week’s hotter-than-expected U.S. inflation, which has made the dollar stronger than most other major currencies in recent months.

The euro, on the other hand, increased to 87.71 pence on Friday, its highest level since February 2021, while the pound has notably suffered. At 87.45 pence, it was recently up 0.39 percent.

A severe depreciation of the pound resulted from Britain’s exit from the Exchange Rate Mechanism, a mechanism created to lessen currency swings prior to the introduction of the euro, on September 16, 1992.

Sterling dropped 4.3% on that day, now known as Black Wednesday, and ended the day at $1.778, which is significantly more than it is presently.

The statistics that led to Friday’s decline indicated that retail sales volumes fell 1.6% in monthly terms in August, which was worse than all of the projections in a Reuters survey of experts, who had called for a 0.5% decline. This was the worst loss since December 2021.

The International Monetary Fund predicts that the British economy will see weaker economic growth and more persistent inflation than any other major country in 2019.

According to John Hardy, director of FX strategy at Saxobank, “the grinding backdrop of everything that’s going on is pushing on sterling, with the UK running these big external deficits and the concerns around the incoming prime minister’s plans contributing to that.”

To lessen the economic blow of the war in Ukraine, Britain’s new leader, Liz Truss, proposed last week a two-year ceiling on consumer energy prices. The measures are expected to cost the nation upwards of 100 billion pounds ($115 billion).

On September 23, British Finance Minister Kwasi Kwarteng is anticipated to present a fiscal statement outlining how this will be paid for as well as how he would carry out the tax cuts Truss pledged during her run for the Conservative Party leadership.

Additionally, markets are “risk-off” as a result of FedEx pulling their prediction and a decline in U.S. stocks below a crucial support level. Sterling is equivalent to a worse euro in a risk-off atmosphere, according to Foley.

On Thursday, FedEx Corp cancelled the financial projection it had made just three months prior, sending its shares tumbling and straining the market as a whole.

A jam-packed week of central bank meetings will include the Bank of England’s meeting the following week. Market pricing suggests that a 75-basis-point increase has a little higher probability than a 50-basis-point increase.

There is definitely a danger that a 50bp boost will spark further GBP selling, according to MUFG, given that the (European Central Bank) increased rates by 75bps, the Bank of Canada did the same, the Fed will follow suit, and potentially the (Swiss National Bank).

Pakistan Suzuki Unveils the Alto VXR AGS With ABS

Pakistan Suzuki Unveils the Alto VXR AGS With ABS

September 17, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Automotive News

Pak Suzuki has now introduced Suzuki Alto VXR with AGS technology.

In order to draw in more buyers, Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has unveiled a brand-new variation of their best-selling car, the “Suzuki Alto VXR AGS.”
Pak Suzuki automobiles have been warmly appreciated by consumers since they first debuted 40 years ago, and even now, Suzuki’s Alto is the most popular vehicle in Pakistan.

But with its most recent modification to an already popular automobile, the company’s commitment to ongoing development and outstanding customer service is clear.

The Suzuki Alto VXR AGS is equipped with an Anti-Lock Braking System in addition to the company’s Auto Gear Shift (AGS) technology, which is apparent from the name (ABS).

Suzuki Alto VXR AGS Price in Pakistan

The Suzuki Alto VXR AGS’s Rs. 2,120,000 starting price in Pakistan makes sense given that the automaker has introduced two new features to the car, including the Auto Gear Shift (AGS) and Anti-Lock Breaking System (ABS), which increases safety.

READ MORE: 2022 Suzuki Price List In Pakistan

The Suzuki Alto VXR AGS’s pricing in Pakistan, which is Rs. 2,120,000, is also just an increase of Rs. 144,000 over the standard model, which is reasonable given the added features the car has.

The remaining features will remain the same as those of the standard Suzuki Alto VXR in the interim, and we hope that the new variant with AGS and ABS proves to be a success given how difficult it is for automakers to conduct business given the current economic climate and the ongoing depreciation of the Pakistani Rupee.

The technology, which is sometimes mistaken for a fully automatic car, is really an automated manual gearbox that frees the driver from having to physically operate the clutch and shift gears, giving them the ease of an automatic transmission. Urban journeys are made much more pleasant and hassle-free by this new function, and even extended commutes may be done comfortably.

Second, and maybe more significantly given the current situation, AGS technology is renowned for its high levels of fuel economy. The vehicle’s pricing is also incredibly competitive, despite the fact that the technology may seem pricey and everything.

Due to its comfort, fuel economy, and affordable pricing, the Suzuki Alto VXR with AGS can be the ideal vehicle.

England Cricket Team Arrives In Pakistan After 17 Years

England Cricket Team Arrives In Pakistan After 17 Years

September 16, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Sport News

The cricket team from England arrived in Karachi on Thursday as part of their first trip to Pakistan in 17 years.

England last played in Pakistan in 2005, and they were scheduled to return last year before abruptly cancelling after New Zealand also postponed a tour owing to safety concerns.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which was outraged by the action, described it as “disrespectful.”

Pakistan was compelled to host England for series in 2012 and 2015 after an assault in 2009 on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore. The UAE served as one such location.

International cricket has slowly made a comeback in Pakistan over the past five years, and earlier this year, Australia completed a successful tour for the first time in over 25 years.

The PCB expressed confidence that the England games will also go ahead without a hitch, noting that the Australia series had “demonstrated our event planning and operational expertise. “Roads between the England team accommodation and Karachi’s National stadium will be closed off and guarded by security personnel on game days. Their route will be monitored by a helicopter, and businesses that have stadium views will be required to close.

The government of Pakistan was engaged in conflict with insurgents the previous time England visited. Although the security situation has significantly improved since then, assaults have increased since since the Taliban retook control of the neighboring country of Afghanistan.

The journey takes place as Pakistan struggles to recover from devastating floods that has affected at least 33 million people and submerged roughly a third of the nation.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) stated last month that despite the humanitarian crisis, the team was “desperate” to play in Pakistan.

Rob Key, general director of men’s cricket, said: “I think ideally us going over there and playing will be a positive for what’s been a really horrific moment for the people of that nation.”

From September 20 to October 2, the 19-man England side, led by Jos Buttler, will compete against Pakistan in seven Twenty20 matches in Karachi and Lahore as preparation for the T20 World Cup in Australia that will take place the following month.

Three five-day Test matches will be played in England when they return in December.

Gill Released After Being Detained For Many Weeks In A Sedition Case

Shahbaz Gill Released After Being Detained For Many Weeks In A Sedition Case

September 16, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Pakistan News

Shahbaz Gill, the former prime minister Imran Khan’s chief of staff, was granted release on Thursday after spending months in custody while awaiting prosecution for statements that were derogatory of the military.

He tweeted in Arabic shortly after his release, “Allah is sufficient for us and the best of those on whom to depend.”

After reportedly attempting to inspire soldiers to rebel against the senior military leadership in comments he made to ARY News, a well-known cable television program, Gill was detained on August 9 on accusations of sedition.

Gill spoke extensively on the present political climate during the program in question, urging soldiers up to the rank of brigadier to refuse any illegitimate orders from the senior military officials.

Then, on September 2, Gill petitioned the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for relief after repeatedly being denied bail by a district and sessions court.

Athar Minallah, the chief justice of the high court, who took up the plea, stated during the hearings on Thursday that no one could be denied the right to bail unless there was strong evidence against them.

He instructed police to carry conducting their investigation but not request additional custody for Gill without the required proof, stating that there would be no recourse if the same individual later turned out to be innocent.

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader is being investigated for violating Sections 34 (common intention), 109 (abetment), 120 (concealing design to commit an offence punishable with imprisonment), 121 (waging war against the state), 124-A (sedition), 131 (abetting mutiny, or attempt to seduce a soldier, sailor, or airman from his duty), 153 (provoking to cause riot (PPC).

If Gill is found guilty of the crimes against him, he might get the death penalty.

Salman Safdar, the former minister’s attorney, emphasized that the prosecution against Gill was founded on ill motives and political victimization while citing legal laws that were enforced against the former minister.

He asserted that Gill’s comments targeted the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz rather than the army (PML-N).

The Pakistani military, according to Justice Minallah, was not “weak enough to be swayed” by allegedly “irresponsible” comments uttered by anybody. Gill’s careless, improper, and disparaging words, he emphasized, “cannot be justified in any situation.”

The judge then granted Gill bail in exchange for a Rs. 500,000 surety bond.

It is important to note that although the Islamabad police have been charged by the former prime minister of torturing and abusing the lawmaker, they maintain that Gill was ill due to his severe asthma.

In a subsequent statement on Gill’s health, the police said that he was in good enough health to answer questions.

F1: Following Appendix Surgery, Albon Required Ventilator Care

September 15, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Automotive News

Team’s statement on Formula One According to Williams, respiratory failure was caused by anesthetic problems.

LONDON: Following complications from surgery on his appendix, Alex Albon, a Formula One driver for Williams, experienced “respiratory failure” and was put on a ventilator.

On Saturday morning, appendicitis caused Albon, 26, to be disqualified from the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. He was then taken to the adjacent San Gerardo Hospital for treatment.

The Thai driver underwent surgery, but thereafter he needed help breathing and was sent to intensive care.

Albon was “taken from mechanical ventilation” on Sunday, according to Williams, and is anticipated to stay in the hospital on Monday.

According to a statement from the British team, Alex experienced unanticipated post-operative anaesthesia problems after surgery, which caused respiratory failure, a known but rare condition. He underwent a second intubation and was then sent to critical care for assistance.

He made tremendous improvement over night, and yesterday morning he was able to be taken off of artificial ventilation. He has since been moved to a normal ward, and he will likely go home tomorrow.

Due to his mother Kankamol’s Thai citizenship, London-born Albon participated in practise on Friday in Monza.

However, he became ill early on Saturday and was replaced by the team’s backup driver Nyck de Vries, who placed ninth and earned points in his Formula One debut.

After being released by Red Bull, Albon spent the previous season on the sidelines.

But since moving to Williams, he has consistently excelled, earning his first point for the British team in the Australian Grand Prix in April and going on to finish in the top 10 twice more, in Miami and Belgium.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Pledges To Compensate Flood Victims

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Pledges To Compensate Flood Victims

September 15, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Pakistan News

ISLAMABAD — After the worst floods in the nation’s history, Pakistan’s prime minister assured the nation’s homeless population on Wednesday that the government would make sure they were compensated to rebuild and resume their lives.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, second from the right, converses with a youngster at a makeshift school in a tent in the Pakistani Baluchistan flood-stricken community of Suhbatpur. Following the nation’s worst-ever floods, Sharif pledged the nation’s millions of homeless people on Wednesday that the government would make sure they were compensated to repair their houses and resume their lives.

A half million people are living in camps as winter approaches after being evacuated by the flood, which damaged 1.7 million houses. Delivering food, tents, and money to the victims has been the government’s top priority up to this point. Since mid-June, the floods have claimed 1,481 lives, affecting 33 million people.

We’ll do everything we can to provide you with financial support so you may build new homes “Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif spoke to a number of families residing in tents and temporary structures in the Baluchistan town of Suhbatpur. “The government will provide compensation to those who lost their houses and crops, “he stated during his remarks on television.

Under the town of Suhbatpur, where hundreds of schoolchildren were receiving assistance from UNICEF to study in a tent, Sharif also informed the students that a new school will be built there in the following two months.

“Pakistan has never seen such massive climate-related destruction, “Sharif stated to a group of attorneys on Wednesday in Islamabad. “Watching flooded villages, towns, and cities was awful.”

After 15 days, according to Sharif, Pakistan will enter its winter season, and the flood victims will face a new challenge: figuring out how to survive in the bitter cold when they were previously living in tents throughout the summer.

Even getting clean drinking water to flood victims has become difficult, he claimed.

70% of Pakistan’s wheat, cotton, and other crops were devastated by the floods. The government now claims that the economic toll is far higher than Pakistan’s initial estimate of $10 billion in losses. The world community, especially those responsible for climate change, has been encouraged by the UN to provide greater aid to Pakistan.

Thousands of people are now homeless as a result of the monsoon rains that destroyed entire communities, bridges, and highways. A third of the country’s land area was submerged under water at one time.

Unprecedented rain-related losses in Pakistan have been attributed by several analysts to climate change.

Sherry Rehman, Pakistan’s minister for climate change, stated to a group of MPs from the Asia Pacific on Wednesday in Islamabad that the threat posed by climate change, which “knows no boundaries,” is currently affecting the whole globe.

She urged cutting emissions to protect other nations from the harm that her country is already experiencing.

Overnight, Pakistan received its first shipment of Saudi Arabian help.

The United States and many other nations, including the United Nations, have already provided around 90 planeloads of aid.

In response to an urgent call for $160 million, member states have so far pledged $150 million, according to Julien Harneis, resident coordinator for the United Nations in Pakistan, who made the announcement during a news conference on Wednesday.

This Is The Brand New Pagani Utopia, A Retro Styled V12 Vehicle

This Is The Brand New Pagani Utopia, A Retro Styled V12 Vehicle

September 13, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Automotive News

Utopia is Pagani’s third new model series, following Zonda and Huayra.

Leonardo da Vinci, Horacio Pagani’s greatest inspiration and idol, famously said that “water is the driving force of all nature.” He was mistaken, with all due respect to the renowned polymath.

No, a custom Mercedes-AMG biturbo V12 with a surplus of horsepower and no contemporary frills is what drives all of nature. Everyone is invited to the brand-new, distinctly retro Pagani Utopia. Only Horacio’s third hypercar in history.

Since the Zonda created “the legend” and the Huayra introduced active aero and carbo-titanium, the business admits that it was necessary to clarify precisely what this new “C10” stands for. Utopia, named after Sir Thomas More’s well-known poem, is born into a world that is gradually doing away with such obvious excess.

What was Horacio’s reply? “Just a lovely V12, no bulky batteries or hybrid power.” Pure seven-speed manual or automatic gearbox, no dual-clutch technology. This vehicle is so retro that Rocky Marciano would be it if it were a heavyweight. Regaining “simplicity, lightness, and the pleasure of driving” was the goal of the brief. Additionally, a 6.0-liter turbo V12 engine made especially for Pagani is likely to provide a great deal of enjoyment.

We only know that the enormous twelve-cylinder Mercedes-AMG engine inside, uh, Utopia, produces 864 horsepower and “a remarkable” 811 lb ft of torque. It supposedly complies with even the severe emissions standards of California and “revs higher and is more versatile.” Pagani doesn’t specify, but it most likely replaces the engine.

Pagani installed a smaller, more compact automatic Xtrac unit with helical gears in instead of attaching this behemoth to a dual-clutcher. Utopia will get a real seven-speed manual transmission in the later part of 2023, not a “virtual manual.” I wonder what Pagani is alluding to there.

This brutal engine is housed in Pagani’s well-known carbo-titanium monocoque, which has front and rear tubular alloy steel subframes. This package is certainly new-school. Double wishbone suspension made of forged aluminium surrounds the vehicle, together with helical springs and electronically controlled active dampers.

The brakes are more powerful than one might anticipate. Front and rear six- and four-piston calipers clamp over carbon ceramic vented discs, which are all concealed by 21- or 22-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels.

There is no running from that body. Each of Pagani’s vehicles “begins with an aesthetic shock,” the company freely acknowledges, and Utopia in particular is supposed to “radiate simplicity.” In an effort to create a more timeless design, the firm makes reference to the more “fluid and curving” lines this automobile exhibits.

It has been purposefully stripped of the more visible aerodynamic add-ons, such as large wings, splitters, and vents, but some have likely been saved for the unavoidable special editions we’ll see later in its lifespan. And while a Pagani is a remarkable automobile regardless, this will undoubtedly generate conversation.
