Weintek E-News: How To Build a Smart Office With cMT X HMIs

May 27, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Automation News

HMIs may now be used not just in factory automation, but also in building automation and a variety of other automation control applications, thanks to advancements in hardware performance and design, intelligentization, and integration technology.

Weintek Labs uses its cMT X series HMIs to intelligentize its own workplace, resulting in a more efficient, intelligent, and energy-efficient working environment.

In recent years, HMI has witnessed significant improvements in terms of performance, aesthetics, and technology. As a result, HMI has begun to play a larger part in building automation applications, in addition to industrial automation, for which it is already vital.

Weintek has created a smart office area including cMT X HMI since shifting to its current location. Let’s look at how HMI is being used to control lighting, air conditioning, meeting room booking, and guest access in this newsletter, as well as how cross-platform, remote, and wireless HMI monitoring solutions aid in the creation of this unique office space.

Feature Highlights

1. Smart Central Control

  • Lighting and AC of different areas can be controlled from a single HMI screen.
  • HMI schedules power ON/OFF cycles and also adjusts AC settings according to weather data from external source – for optimal indoor temperature.
  • Energy usage is recorded, analyzed, and optimized.

2. Smart Meeting Room

  • Each conference room has its own HMI that can operate the space’s separate air conditioning system.
  • Each HMI uses data from the server to display real-time booking information on the screen.
  • Attendees can be notified in advance of meetings.

3. Remote Wireless Control

  • The state of each region may be monitored from the convenience of one’s seat – no need to stroll to the HMI!
  • You’re not in your seat? There’s no difficulty at all. You can use your phone or tablet at any time.
  • All HMIs are Weincloud-enabled and internet-connected, allowing for remote updates to HMI programmes and settings.

4. Visitor Access Management

  • The front desk receives a push notification with guest information after an HMI at the door greets guests and performs guest registration.
  • For convenient data access and administration, the visitor log is digitised and maintained in a database.

Now that you’ve seen the smart HMI in action in the office, What are your thoughts? Hopefully, more smart office apps will emerge to improve the quality of our workplaces.

The Government Has Increased The Price Of Petroleum By PKR. 30

The Government Has Increased The Price Of Petroleum By PKR. 30

May 27, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Pakistan News

Miftah Ismail, the Finance Minister, stated on Thursday that the government has decided to raise the price of petroleum products by Rs. 30 per liter, effective at midnight.

Read More: The First Online Antique Car Museum In Pakistan Has Opened

“From Friday, May 27, 2022, the government has decided to hike the costs of Petrol, High-Speed Diesel, Kerosene Oil, and Light Diesel Oil by Rs. 30 per liter. At 12 a.m., the new pricing will take effect. “The new price of petrol will be Rs. 179.86 per liter, and the new price of diesel will be Rs. 174.15 per liter,” the Finance Minister tweeted.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to the Finance Minister, made this difficult decision in the national interest. He stated that imposing such a burden on the general population is a difficult decision for the government to make.

Miftah stated that the decision was made in order to resurrect the International Monetary Fund’s $6 billion bailout package (IMF).

The rise comes only one day after the government and the IMF failed to reach a deal on a financial bailout due to the former’s unwillingness to reverse fuel and power subsidies, causing budget uncertainty for fiscal year 2022-23.

According to a news statement from the Finance Division, sustaining current petroleum product prices at current subsidized rates is continually growing the government’s twin deficit while also creating significant dangers to the energy supply chain.

Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) and refineries are having trouble acquiring international bank confirmation for LCs/SBLCs, local banks’ unwillingness to open LCs, and importers’ issues securing insurance coverage for particularly high-priced cargoes, according to the statement.

“The government has decided to adjust the present petroleum product pricing in order to rationalize petroleum product costs.” Prices for petroleum goods have been raised in part to make them affordable, according to the statement.

With a Rs. 30 per liter hike across the board, the new price of fuel will be Rs. 179.86 per liter, up from Rs. 149.86 per liter previously. High-speed diesel will now cost Rs. 174.15 per liter, up from Rs. 144.15 per liter previously. According to the Finance Division, the new price of kerosene will be Rs. 155.56 per liter, up from Rs. 125.56, and the new price of light diesel oil would be Rs. 148.31 per liter, up from Rs. 118.31 per liter.

Azadi March PTI Workers Clash With Police Near Batti Chowk

May 25, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Pakistan News

LAHORE: Police used tear gas to disperse PTI workers at Batti Chowk in Lahore after removing obstacles erected to obstruct roadways ahead of the party’s planned “Azadi March” to Islamabad.

The PTI’s Lahore chapter has requested that its members congregate at Batti Chowk today, from where they will proceed for Islamabad.

The police fired tear gas shells to clear the scene after the party workers gathered at the crossroads and battled with them after they removed barricades.

Meanwhile, former federal minister Hammad Azhar confirmed his arrival at Batti Chowk via social media.

According to Geo News, all access and departure routes into and out of Lahore have been barred to prevent PTI activists from marching, while searches on the homes of party officials have resulted in the arrests of Senator Ijaz Chauhdry and Mehmoodur Rasheed.

When a police party raided a local PTI leader’s home in the province capital, guns were seized, according to Lahore Police.

Working Gearbox And Pistons For The New Lego Technic Ferrari Daytona SP3

Working Gearbox And Pistons For The New Lego Technic Ferrari Daytona SP3

May 25, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Automotive News

Lego is also releasing a limited-edition book on its design partnership with Ferrari.

The latest Lego Technic set miniaturizes the Daytona SP3, one of Ferrari’s most recent premieres. Last November, it joined Ferrari’s Icon family of automobiles. The new Lego model will be available on June 1, and the two firms will celebrate with a limited-edition coffee table book recounting their work on the kit. The book will only be printed in 5,000 copies.

The 3,778-piece 1:8-scale Ferrari is 5.5 inches (15 centimeter’s) tall, 23 inches (59 cm) long, and 9.5 inches (25 cm) broad. The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is incredibly detailed inside and out, much like Lego’s other Technic kits – and in places that most people would never see.

A functional 8-speed sequential gearbox and a V12 engine with moving pistons are included in the Lego Ferrari, but that’s not all. The fully functional wishbone suspension, complete with detailed brake discs and working springs, will also be assembled by the builders.

The functional butterfly doors open to reveal an interior that has been painstakingly replicated, even down to the Ferrari insignia on the steering wheel. On the exterior, the automobile has silver-lacquered wheels with Ferrari center caps. “No aspect has been missed,” claimed Lego Group CEO Niels B. Christiansen. “At such a small scale, the attention to detail and perfection of the model astounds me,” he continued.

The kit will be available at Lego Stores worldwide on June 1 before being distributed to other stores on August 1. It’ll set you back $399.99, and Lego recommends it for those aged 18 and over. On June 1, the book “Lego Technic Ferrari Daytona SP3: The Sense of Perfection” will be available for $79.99. The limited-edition book delves into the conceptualization, design, and production of the model.

The Lego Technic kit will be far more accessible than the real Daytona SP3. Only 599 Ferrari supercars will be produced. The Daytona is Ferrari’s most aerodynamically efficient car ever, with a 6.5-liter V12 from the 812 Competition producing 828 horsepower (617 kilowatts) and 514 pound-feet (697 Newton-meters) of torque. The Lego kit is also far less expensive.

A Cop Dies In Raid PML-N Govt Decides To Stop PTI’s Long March

A Cop Dies In Raid PML-N Govt Decides To Stop PTI’s Long March

May 24, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Pakistan News

ISLAMABAD: The PML-N administration has opted to halt Imran Khan’s Azadi March in Islamabad, despite mounting pressure from the PTI for early elections and the government’s determination to stay put.

  • PM Shehbaz Sharif presided over a meeting of the PML-political N’s committee.
  • “Such actions are equivalent to wrecking the economy,” says Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
  • The meeting will discuss the political environment and possible responses to the PTI’s lengthy march.

The decision was made during a meeting of the PML-political N’s committee, which was chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, only hours after a cop was killed during a raid on the home of a PTI politician.

With security increased in the federal capital and a crackdown on PTI members around the nation Friday night, all eyes were on PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s lengthy march to Islamabad, which was planned earlier as part of the party’s anti-government campaign calling for early elections.

Today’s gathering focused on discussions about the country’s current political situation and strategies for dealing with the PTI’s protracted march.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah briefed reporters on the current state of law and order, as well as steps to guarantee peace and security.

According to Geo News, which cited sources, it was decided that the “public’s security” must be assured.

During his presentation to the gathering, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was quoted as stating, “Such measures are akin to wrecking the economy.”

The prime minister went on to say that the state’s authority would not be jeopardized at any cost, and that any criminal activity will be stopped.

In the event of any aggressive or offensive behavior, the meeting voted to take legal action.

In a news conference to be held shortly, the interior minister will advise the media on the strategy to disrupt the march.

All chief secretaries, inspectors general, and other key officials would be videotaped in, and district and provincial administrations will be given instructions on how to prevent the PTI from marching on the federal capital.

Azadi March will begin as scheduled: Qureshi, Shah Mehmood

As news of the existing government’s announcement of a ban on the PTI’s long march arrived, PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi declared at a press conference in Peshawar that the freedom to march is a fundamental, constitutional, and legal right.

He claims that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari led a march, but that the government did nothing to stop it. Maulana Fazlur Rehman recently organised a sit-in in Peshawar that was not even prevented, he stated.
“I want to be clear that we will not stop and that our march will go as planned,” Qureshi stated.

“Regardless of what happens, PTI personnel must complete the long march,” Qureshi stated.

Driving Tips for How to Save Petrol

Driving Tips for How to Save Petrol

May 24, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Automotive Blogs

How To Save Petrol – The Ultimate Guide

These days, everyone is striving to save money on gasoline. It’s understandable given how quickly gas prices fluctuate. Check out our ideas for fuel-efficient driving and see how much money you can save while doing so.

1. Don’t Be a Lead Foot

The harder you accelerate, the more gas is lost. You can save gas by gently pressing the accelerator pedal. This rule of thumb will help you drive more efficiently.

From a halt, aim to accelerate your vehicle up to 15 miles per hour in roughly five seconds. Use a modest throttle setting and shift between 2000 and 2500 rpm with a manual transmission.

Imagine there’s an egg under the gas pedal to aid you avoid accelerating too quickly. Pretend the gas pedal is pressing down on the egg as you accelerate. This mental trick might help you accelerate safely, saving you gas and money.

2. Keep it Steady for Fuel-Efficient Driving

Have you ever wondered why highway and city driving yield different mileage? When it comes to traditional gas-powered vehicles, highway driving always gets the better mileage rating. Take the Toyota Corolla, for example. Its EPA-estimated MPG for highway travel is higher than for city driving.

The reason for this is because of abrupt changes in speed. On the highway, dips in speed mixed with bursts of quick acceleration can boost your fuel consumption by up to 30%. As a result, abrupt stops and starts might affect fuel efficiency. If you’re not driving in a city, avoid making sudden stops and starts.

If you’re going on a road trip or have a long commute, cruise control can save you money on gas. It saves you money on gas and keeps your car in good running order. Simply adhere to established road signs and turn off cruise control when driving in hazardous conditions.

3. Stay Alert and Keep Proper Distance

Maintain the momentum of your vehicle by planning your actions ahead of time. Keep your eyes on the road ahead of you.

Anticipate pedestrian and other driver movements and maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you.

Counting seconds might help you determine a safe distance. It works like this: when driving, choose an inanimate item such as a road sign, a marker, or something solid that does not move. Start counting as the automobile in front of you passes the object.

Because it was commonly instructed to count 2 seconds, this guideline was dubbed the “2-second rule.” It’s now widely accepted that varied driving conditions result in different count times.

Speed limitations of 35-55 mph necessitate a 3 second separation. Count 4 seconds at 55-75 mph when it’s pouring, the roads are wet, or there’s a lot of traffic. Count 7-8 seconds for a safer journey on snowy or icy roads.

This counting method can assist you in maintaining a healthy distance and improving your gas mileage.

4. Don’t Slam on the Brakes

If city traffic’s stop-and-go slows you down, abrupt stops can do the same. In normal driving situations, coasting toward a stop sign or red light is preferable to slamming on the brakes. This saves both time and money.

It is not only a more efficient driving practice, but it also reduces tyre and brake wear. This allows you to save money on maintenance and repairs.

5. Check Your Tire Pressure

In addition to these fuel-saving driving strategies, make sure your tyres are properly inflated. When you notice the tyre pressure warning light*, check the pressure frequently and fill them up.

Check inside the driver’s side door if you’re unclear how much air your tyres require. Many modern automobiles feature a placard on the dashboard that indicates the proper PSI for your vehicle. “How about the information printed on the tyre?” That is an excellent question!

Tire manufacturers prefer to include valuable information on their tyres, such as the maximum PSI they can handle. It’s vital to emphasize, however, that you should never go above that limit.

This is due to a number of factors. The first is related to normal wear and tear. The tread portion of your tyres will round out if you over-inflate them. As a result, the middle tread wears down sooner. You might be decreasing the life of your tyres in half on average.

The second reason is that traction has been lost. The more you pump your tyres, the more likely they are to lose touch with the road. This might cause you to spin out or possibly crash. This is especially true in the winter when the roads are icy.

The third cause is related to your vehicle. You’ll feel every bump and dip when driving on over-inflated tyres. What was once a pleasant trip has become rough.

6. Be More Fuel Efficient with Less Cargo

Have you ever returned after a road trip only to discover that your automobile performed better the following time you drove it? It may have seemed clogged and sluggish during the journey. Perhaps it felt light and athletic on the walk to the shop the next day. This is for a very excellent reason.

Fuel economy suffers when there is excess load. It’s preferable to leave that additional weight out of the automobile until you really need it. When you come home, unpack the car and leave only what you need for your next trip.

7. Reduce Heater Use in Winter

Heaters and air conditioners are designed to keep you comfortable in your automobile. It’s why many automobiles offer air conditioning, heating, and seat warmers.

However, relying on climate controls reduces gas efficiency. Try parking in a warm area like a garage to conserve gas in the winter. This keeps you warm in the winter and saves you money on gas.

Another thing you may do is avoid driving an idle car for too long with the heating on. Turn on the heat shortly before getting inside your car or while it is running. This reduces the time it takes to warm up and saves petrol.

The Chiron Super Sport Produces More Horsepower Than Bugatti Had Anticipated

The Chiron Super Sport Produces More Horsepower Than Bugatti Had Anticipated

May 24, 2022 / By Zunair Tahir / Automotive News

Bugatti uses a gigantic dyno to put its 273mph creation through its paces.

This is a 273mph Bugatti Chiron Super Sport connected to a very heavy-duty dyno, ladies and gentlemen of the Internet. Aren’t there echoes of Frankenstein’s Monster strapped to the surgical table?

Bugatti recently attached its own beast to a dynamometer to see how much power the 8.0-litre W16 engine might produce. It was originally stated that it had 1,578bhp, but new tests have revealed that it actually has 1,595bhp. That’s a lot better

The dyno is also a fascinating piece of equipment. It’s called a ‘high-performance all-wheel single-roller dynamometer’ by Bugatti, which implies the car’s wheel runs on one huge roller instead of the customary two.

As a result, the wheel’s ‘rolling behavior’ is more like that of a road wheel, and the tyres generate less heat than they would between two small rollers. That means you’ll be able to test at higher speeds, with Bugatti’s dyno capable of 480kph (298mph). Isn’t it fortunate that the road-going Super Sport is limited to 273mph?

Each set of rollers weights 3.5 tons, and the cooling fan is four meters tall. It can move 300,000 cubic meters of air per hour and generate a 230kph airstream (143mph).

To test the Super Sport, a combination of high-strength screws bolted to the carbon monocoque, ‘crisscrossing strong chains,’ and special straps are used. Sounds terrifying.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan made the statement at a news conference in Peshawar on Sunday, following the conclusion of a meeting of the PTI’s core committee.

PTI chairman Imran Khan said he will arrive in Islamabad on May 25 and meet with his fans and workers at 3 p.m. on the Srinagar Highway. Several PTI leaders surrounded the former prime minister, including Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Mahmood Khan.

He declared at the start of the news conference that every field of business, agriculture, and information technology had progressed during his administration, but that his government had been overthrown by a foreign plot.

He went on to say that the country was on the right track until a US-backed plot to destabilize his administration was planned with the cooperation of the former Opposition.

Imran insisted that the plan was not against him, but against Pakistan, and that his administration was overthrown at a time when the country was making tremendous progress in terms of industrial and agricultural expansion, as well as a record-breaking increase in GDP (GDP).

The previous opposition was considered to be extremely experienced and capable in governing the country, but the entire nation observed their condition and ineptitude in administering the country for one month, according to the former prime minister.

Despite their experience, he added, the rupee was devaluing, the stock market was falling, and inflation was rising.

He stated that they were capable and experienced in looting the country and committing corruption.

He claimed that the PML-N and its partners merely came to power to settle their corruption charges and safeguard their looted funds.

Addressing the young, he stated that Pakistan could not flourish and thrive until the rule of law was implemented.

At the conclusion of the news conference, he urged law enforcement agencies and the bureaucracy not to obstruct the long march by arresting PTI employees, warning that they would be held accountable for their conduct.

He said that the PTI was planning a lengthy march on Islamabad since it was an insult to Pakistan’s 220 million people that a US Undersecretary threatened Pakistan’s ambassador to dismiss Imran’s administration or face harsh times. He asserted that Imran Khan went to Russia against the US’s orders and was conducting his own foreign policy.
